Chase Beranek
I am fascinated by Kaizen, jidoka (autonomation), and the Toyota Production System — principles that guide continuous improvement, built-in quality, and human-centered automation. Those ideas shape how I build tools and businesses.
At my other company, Chase Surplus, Inc., I applied these principles to operations and tooling. We list millions of dollars of inventory every year and work with some of the largest asset recovery companies in the world to prevent unnecessary disposal. The problem is enormous: roughly $163 billion worth of inventory is discarded each year that could be reused, repaired, or resold.
I believe the combination of machine learning and Kaizen is the way forward. By bringing rigorous, iterative improvement together with generative AI, we can reduce waste, promote a circular economy, and create value for everyone involved. I will not rest until this vision is carried out and our industry has adopted these time-tested philosophies to harness rapidly evolving AI for good.
I personally coded the very first live version of Kaizen Seller to ensure the product reflects that vision and practical operational needs. Building the first release myself let me fully utilize my expertise so the tool can be useful to real sellers from day one.
Company mission
The mission of Kaizen Seller is to stop waste by putting data and automation into the hands of sellers and asset managers. We use machine learning and continuous improvement to identify recoverable value, automate listings and workflows, and make circular commerce profitable and scalable. Our goal is to make it easy — and lucrative — for people and businesses to keep products in use longer.
